These are the top 12 plays from the Arizona State season that you can enjoy talking about over delicious holiday cocktails with friends and family. The “Holiday Party 12 Pack of Plays” will count down from Play #12 to our Play #1 as voted on by the ASU Devils Den team.

Play #12 – Brown’s One Handed Interception
Play #11 – Smallwood’s Strip Sack
Play #10 – Deandre Scott’s Forced Fumble
Play #9 – Randall Interception Return Touchdown
Plays #8 & #7 – Hardison’s Interceptions
Play #6 – Perry Interception Return Touchdown

Play #5

The 2014 Territorial Cup featured the #13 Arizona State Sun Devils and the #12 Arizona Wildcats. The winner would clinch the Pac-12 South, as a result of an UCLA loss, and a trip to San Francisco for a chance at the Pac-12 Championship. With the teams exchanging defensive touchdowns to start the game, the Wildcats scored a touchdown to take a 14-7 lead with five minutes left in the first quarter. Quarterback Taylor Kelly led the Arizoan State offense on the field and drove into the red zone. Then, the ASU Devils Den Holiday Party 12 Pack of Plays – Play #5 took place:

The one-handed, red-zone touchdown by wide receiver Jaelen Strong tied the Territorial Cup game at 14. Strong’s incredibly focused and one-handed catch finished off this great offensive drive, even though he injured his shoulder diving for a 50 yard pass from Kelly. After a difficult road loss to Oregon State, this offensive play was needed for the Sun Devils to show they would not cave against their rivals pressure on the road in Tucson.
